The goal will be to make trash 100% recyclable. There will be laws in place that containers for things like food, clothing, and other packaging must be recyclable. This will eliminate most of the would be trash. Waste food will be encourage to make fertilizer for any yards, or gardens. If this is not possible, nor feasible – then the food waste can be thrown away. Trash collection will be the responsibility of the city, or community. However, all landfills and recycling centers will be government owned.
Since there will be a push to make as much packaging, bags, and other things as recyclable as possible, the recycling centers will be the prime role for creating plastic pellets so they can be reused. They will be sold to companies that would need them, and the process would go all around again. Actual trash should be minimal, and recycling must be at a discount when compared to standard trash. This will be to encourage people to actually recycle as it would be the home where most of the recycling will come from.
